JEE Advanced 2018 registration begins from May 2, exam on May 20

JEE Advanced 2018: As per the official notification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2018, the registration process will begin from Wednesday, May 2, 2018. The interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website (jeeadv.ac.in) up to 5 pm on May 7, 2018.The exam for JEE Advanced would be conducted in two shifts from 9 am to 12 noon and paper II exam would take place from 2 pm to 5 pm.

A students can appear for the JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years i.e., while studying in 12th class and the following year. The student becomes eligible for the exam only if he/she has scored minimum 75 percent marks in his/her board examination. This year, around 10,43,739 candidates appeared for JEE Main 2018 examination. A total of 1,80, 331 boys cleared the exam, with 50,693 girls qualifying for the next stage.

As per the JEE Main 2018 results, as many as 2,31,024 candidates have qualified for appearing in JEE Advanced 2018. Till 2017, only 2,20,000 candidates were eligible to take JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced 2018 examination is conducted for admission to IITs. The JEE (Advanced) 2018 will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018. The entire JEE (Advanced) 2018 Examination will be conducted in fully computer based test mode. Online Registration for JEE (Advanced) 2018 for FOREIGN NATIONALS ONLY is open now and will close on Monday, May 07, 2018 at 17.00 hrs IST.

Through the JEE Advanced test, the students can secure admission for themselves in the following courses

  • B.Tech: 4 years
  • BS (Bachelor of Science): 4 years
  • B.Arch: 5 years
  • Dual degree BTech-M.Tech: 5 years
  • Dual degree BS-MS: 5 years
  • Integrated M.Tech: 5 years
  • Integrated MSc: 5 years

JEE Advanced 2018: Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification: The aspirants need to note these following eligibility

— Be among the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) in Paper -1 of JEE (Main) 2018

— Not have appeared in JEE (Advanced) in 2016 or earlier

— Have appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) board examination for the first time in 2017 or 2018

— Not have accepted admission at any of the IITs earlier.

Age limit: Those applying should have been born on or after October 1, 1993.

JEE Advanced 2018: Total attempts: An aspirant can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.

JEE Advanced 2018: Examination pattern

There will be two papers, both compulsory. The duration of each paper is three hours. Questions will be framed from mathematics, physics and chemistry.

  • Log in to jeeadv.ac.in
  • Type in your basic information and choice of city. Note that correspondence regarding JEE (Advanced) 2018 will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number by SMS and/or to the registered email id.
  • Upload scanned copy of required documents. Check the information brochure here for list of documents required and other important details
  • Pay registration fee

JEE (Advanced) 2018 Results:

Results will be declared on Sunday, June 10, 2018 10:00 IST. Category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the online portal after the results are declared. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers.
