GATE 2019 Exam Schedule Released @ gate.iitm.ac.in
Indian Institute of Madras (IIT-Madras) has released the exam schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019. The IIT-Madras is the GATE test organizing institute this year. The GATE 2019 exam schedule has been released on the official website of the competitive exam which is being conducted as an entrance examination for admission in post graduate and research programmes in the country. The exams will be conducted from February 2 to February 10 in four days. GATE 2019 admit cards will be released on January 4 and the result will be out on March 16. Candidates who have applied for the GATE 2019 exam can check the exam schedule from the official website, gate.iitm.ac.in.
The entrance examination is being conducted over a period of four days. A total of eight sessions will be held by the authorities for the 24 papers. The sessions are divided as two per day – Forenoon (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and Afternoon (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM).
GATE 2019 Exam Schedule:
GATE 2019 will be conducted as a 3-hour long online examination and will consist of General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics (for XL papers it is Chemistry) and subject-specific questions. According to the subject selected by the candidates, the questions will be set by the authorities.
GATE is administered jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (namely, IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee).
The exam is conducted for admission to master’s and direct doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, architecture and in other branches of science at various Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and IITs. Also, GATE score is also used by public sector undertakings (PSUs) such as BHEL, GAIL, HAL, IOCL, ONGC, etc for their recruitment process
