GATE 2018 Question Papers
Question papers (memory based) of GATE 2018 examination has been released now.
Candidates can check their answer key as per their paper code. To check the answer key candidates have to use their session number GATE paper subject code for which they have applied. With the help of GATE answer key candidates will be able to know their qualifying status. Candidates are instructed to keep their login credentials to check the answer key.
GATE Answer Key Challenge
The authority also provides the facility of challenging the answer key if any. After checking the generated answer key, if candidates not satisfied with the official answer key can challenge it. The challenge window is opening from 21st to 23rd February 2018. Candidates can challenge the answer key by paying Rs. 500/- for each question. The final decision will be taken by the GATE conducting authority if the challenge will be accepted. The final answer key will be uploaded on the website. The final key will be released by the authority after accepting the objections from all candidates.
GATE 2018 Marking Scheme
GATE written examination was conducted on different dates for all branches. The exam was conducted through online mode (computer-based test). MCQ questions of 1 mark, for every wrong option1/3 mark is deducted and in 3 marks MCQ questions, 2/3 marks is deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking for numerical type questions. The negative marking is considered only in the multiple choice questions.
