DHE Odisha +2 Merit List 2018 Released

DHE Odisha +2 Merit List 2018: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education released the Odisha Plus II or +2 merit list today. The candidates who have cleared their Class 10 or matric exam and had applied for admission to Plus Two Arts/Commerce/Science streams can check their name on the merit list available at samsodisha.gov.in. The last date to apply for the +2 merit courses ended on June 17, 2018. The admission for the Plus Two courses will begin from July 2 to July 5 till 5 pm.

How to check DHE Odisha +2 merit list 2018?

  • Open the official website – samsodisha.gov.in
  • On the homepage, you will see DHE Odisha +2 merit list link, click on it
  • Now a new page will appear, enter your registration number, password and date of birth and click on submit
  • Your allotment result will be displayed online

This year, the students applying for admission in different streams were allowed to pick at least five colleges and a maximum of 10 colleges. Last year, students were allowed to opt for a maximum of 20 colleges. For a total of 2,001 seats, 4,41,603 have registered with 4,09,974 have applied online for +2 merit list. Admission will be conducted at 1993 colleges, including 231 vocational and 172 Sanskrit colleges, in the state.

The cut off for Science stream is 88.3%. At Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Cuttack and Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar. The second highest cut off has been set by Saraswati Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Neelakantha Nagar, Berhampur (88%). For Arts, the cut off marks in the first merit list is 78.67% at Patita Paban Higher Secondary School, Sainkula, Keonjhar.

Likewise for Commerce stream, Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar has set the highest cut off 78.20% followed by Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Cuttack (77.17%) and Rajdhani Higher Secondary School of Science, Arts and Commerce, Mancheswar (76.07%).

An applicant needs to take print out of the “School Copy” & “Applicant Copy” of the filled-in CAF, and submit both the copies along with relevant documents / fees at the any SRC for consideration & validation, if

i) 10th board examination is not verified online

ii) Caste (ST/SC) certificate is not verified online

iii) Applicant choose “Pay at SRC” option for application fees

iv) Applicant claiming reservation other than ST/SC

v) Applicant claiming any weightage

In a notification, the Directorate of higher secondary education notification had said the students have to submit their common application form (CAF) through online mode and then through offline mode.
