The result of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) has been released today, on February 15, after 7:30 pm by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). All those who had appeared for the exam can check results from the official website – The exam was conducted on January 20. Once declared, they will be able to download their scorecard. The merit ranking will be prepared by AICTE on the basis of the total score. For each correct answer there are 4 marks, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted.

Currently, the web page flashes a notification which says ‘CMAT 2018 results announced’. Candidates who filed for an objection through the Objection Tracker, which was available on the website till January 27, can now see the changes today itself.

AICTE will also announce the All India Merit list based on the scores obtained by the candidates in CMAT 2018 exam. The CMAT 2018 national merit ranking will be prepared on the basis of the Total Score.

The CMAT 2018 exam was conducted online and there were four sections in the exam paper – Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness.

CMAT Score Card 2018

CMAT score card contains the Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness marks in each section. It will also include the rank of the candidate, roll number, sectional score, sectional percentile, total score and total percentile. Candidates are advised to preserve the score card to get admission in the MBA institutions. The score card will be released along with the declaration of result. CMAT score card will be valid only for one year.

CMAT Merit List 2018

The exam conducting authority will release the all India merit list on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates. On the basis of result, a merit list will be prepared after which each participating institution will declare their cut-off marks. The merit list will be published in the second week of February 2018. The board will publish the state merit list and all India merit list. In the merit list, candidate’s name, rank and scored marks will be mentioned.

CMAT is a national level entrance examination conducted every year for admission in all management programmes. The duration of the computer-based online test is three hours and it is carried out in a single session. Candidate’s ability across various segments like quantitative technique, logical reasoning, language comprehension and general awareness are evaluated.

Over 3500 AICTE approved B-schools are expected to take CMAT scores including JBIMS, Sydenham, KJ Somaiya, IMT and GIM among others.

Both overall test score and the individual sectional scores will determine the result. Those with high overall scores will get better ranks. Ties will be decided based on the performance of the students in the individual sections – those who scored better in quant will get better ranks.
