CEED 2018: Result, Score Card, Cut Off, Admission Procedure / Common Entrance Examination for Design Result declared – Check details here
CEED 2018 Result has been declared on 7th March 2018. Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED 2018) is the national level examination conducted by IIT Bombay on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. It is the prerequisite examination for admission to M.Des and Ph.D programmes in design. CEED scores are used for admission to M.Des courses in IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur and in many other institutions.
The exam conducting body had earlier released the draft CEED 2018 answer key on January 25. Candidates must note that simply qualifying in CEED 2018 doesn’t guarantee admission into M.Des programmes, as they may have to appear in further tests or interviews conducted by individual institutes.
CEED 2018 was conducted in 2 parts – Part A and Part B. Candidates qualifying in Part A of the paper were considered eligible for Part B. While preparing the merit list of CEED, only scores of Part B were taken into account. The scores of the candidates in CEED 2018 will be valid for one year, starting from the day of result announcement which is March 7.

CEED Score Card
- The CEED Score card has been released on 7th March 2018.
- It will be valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of result.
CEED Result 2018
The exam conducting body has declared the result of CEED 2018 result on March 7, 2018. Through the result of CEED 2018, the candidates will be able to get access to their scores in the entrance test. In order to check CEED 2018 result, the candidates have to enter their registered email ID and password after clicking on the result link. As a part of CEED result 2018, the candidates have to download their score card which will also be available for downloading on the same day – March 7, 2018. Candidates must note that the result of CEED 2018 is valid for 1 year.
How to check the CEED 2018 Result

- Enter the following details to log-in:
- Registered E-mail ID
- The result of CEED 2018 will be displayed on your screen
- Download and print the CEED score card 2018

- Roll number of the candidate
- Marks/ Score obtained in the exam
- Name of the candidate
It may be noted that to check Part B, the candidate needs to have qualified Paper A. If a candidate fails to qualify Part A, he/ she can only check the score obtained in Part A of CEED 2018. The score obtained in Part A is used only to screen candidates.
The exam conducting authority will publish scores of Part B for only for those candidates who qualify Part A. The scores obtained by the candidates in Part B will be used to prepare the merit list of CEED 2018. The validity of score card is one year from the date of declaration of CEED 2018 result.
Part B of the question paper is used to judge the drawing, creative, and analytical and problem-solving ability of the candidate.
How to Calculate CEED 2018 Result/ Score Card
Part B will consist a total of 8 questions, out of which question 1-5 will carry 50 marks each. The candidate must attempt only these five questions. The answer books for Part B will be manually evaluated, and each candidate will be awarded a normalised score based on a predefined formula.
CEED Cutoff 2018
The question paper of CEED 2018 comprises Part A and Part B. It is mandatory that the candidate qualifies in Part A, or else Part B will not be evaluated and the candidate will no longer be considered for admission. It must also be noted that the cutoff of CEED 2018 will be determined for Paper A only to shortlist candidates for Part B and not for preparing the merit list. So, the CEED cutoff 2018 for Paper A is basically a screening test. The minimum percentage of marks that a candidate needs to score in order to qualify Part A are given in the table below:

CEED 2018 Admission
IIT Bombay does not have any responsibility to conduct the admission/counselling process. On the basis of CEED scores, candidates can apply in the respective institutions for taking admission. Admitting institutions may further conduct tests/interviews for final selection and admission.
