ONGC Recruitment 2019: Apply for 214 Trade Apprentice vacancies

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), which is India’s flagship energy major and a ‘Maharatna’ Central Public Sector Enterprise engaged in Exploration and Production of Oil & Gas in India and abroad, as a measure of Skill Building initiative for the Nation, proposes to engage apprentices at its offices in Mumbai.

Applications are invited from candidates for ONGC, Mumbai in the following trades meeting the qualifications mentioned below for engagement as Apprentices for a period of 12 months under Apprentices Act 1961 (as amended from time to time) in the trade/disciplines. The candidates can apply for a trade through paper based application in prescribed format during 23.07.2019 to 05.08.2019. The Application along with requisite attachments has to reach by 1700 hrs on 05.08.2019. Only residents of all districts of Maharashtra are eligible to apply. The application process begins on July 23, 2019 and closes on August 5, 2019. There are tentatively 214 seats for apprentices in different trades.

Eligibility Criteria for ONGC Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2019:

Educational Qualification:

2. Assistant HR Bachelors degree (Graduation) in B.A. or B.B.A from a Govt. recognized institute/ University.
3. Secretarial Assistant ITI in Secretarial Assistant Trade.
4. Electrician ITI in Electrician Trade.
5. Electronics Mechanic ITI in Electronics Mechanic Trade.
6. Instrument Mechanic ITI in Instrument Mechanic Trade.
7. Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) i) B.Sc. with PCM or PCB

ii) ITI in Lab. Asst (Chemical Plant) Trade.

8. Computer Operator & Programming Assistant ITI in Computer Operator & Programming Assistant Trade.


The applicant must have obtained minimum 45% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidates and 40% marks in aggregate in case of SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions.

Age Limit:

Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 05.08.2019

Concession & Relaxation:

I. Upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates for the trades reserved for them.

II. Candidates belonging to PwBD categories shall be given age relaxation upto 10 years (upto 15 years for SC/ST and upto 13 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates)


Selections of apprentices would done on the basis of marks obtained in the minimum prescribed qualification and merit drawn thereon. In case of a similar number in merit, a person with higher age would be considered.

How to apply for ONGC Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2019?

i. The candidate may apply for apprenticeship in the trade as per their eligibility, appended as Annexure-A and send it to the following address via post or courier, super scribing as “Apprentice Application” on the upper right corner of the envelop:- In-charge SDC, ONGC, Mumbai NBP Green Heights, Plot No. C-69, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai-400051

ii. The candidates can apply during 23.07.2019 to 05.08.2019. The Annexure-A along with requisite attachments should reach the above mentioned address latest by 1700 hrs. of 05.08.2019.

iii. Candidates have to apply for any ONE TRADE ONLY as per their eligibility. If any candidate/applicant submit application for more than one trade then all the applications shall be rejected.

Documents to be attached along with application form:

I. 10th pass/Matriculation certificate/Birth Certificate issued by the concerned education board/Concerned Authority as proof of date of birth. No other document will be accepted for verification of date of birth.

II. Semester-wise/year-wise mark sheets & Graduation Degree/ITI Pass certificate in respective Discipline.

III. Conversion Certificate/Formula issued by University/College (If only CGPA/Grades are mentioned in Mark sheets).

IV. SC/ST/OBC/Disability certificates by reserved category candidates in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority. OBC non-creamy layer status should be valid and OBC certificate issued by the Competent Authority should be latest one.

V. Copy of Aadhar Card.

VI. Copy of PAN Card.
