East central railway has invited applications for 2234 apprentice vacancies for various posts in seven divisions of East central railway (ECR) Bihar. Candidates can apply online on the official website of railway recruitment cell, rrcecr.gov.in. Last date to apply for ECR recruitment is January 10, 2019. The seven divisions of East Central Railways include Danapur, Dhanbad, Mughalsarai, Samastipur, Plant Depot – Mughalsarai, Mechanical Workshop – Samastipur and Carriage Repair Workshop – Harnaut.

Eligibility Criteria for East Central Railway Recruitment 2018 for Apprentice Vacancies:

Educational Qualification:

The candidate must have passed Matric/10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination n system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognized Board and ITI in relevant trade (i.e National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training).

Age limit:

The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 11.12.2018.

Age Relaxation:

i) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities.

ii) By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.

iii) For Persons with Disabilities(PWD) -10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for
SC/ST candidates.

iv) Relaxation for Ex-servicemen in the age will be total Military service plus 3 years subject
to completion of at least six months regular attested service.

  • Click on ‘Important Information: Online applications are invited for engagement of Act Apprentices for Apprenticeship Training under Apprentices Act’1961 over East Central Railway’ blue box given at the centre of home page.
  • Click on ‘Click here to proceed for online application’.
  • If you are a new user click on the option given for new users.
  • IF you are already registered, fill in your registration ID, password and access code
  • Candidates are required to log on to www.rrcecr.gov.in provided for filling ONLINE applications and fill up the Personal details/Bio-data etc. carefully.
  • Candidates trying to submit more than one application with different particulars like Name/Father’s name/Community/Photo/Educational and/or Technical qualification etc. or with different e-mail ID/Mobile number are informed that all such applications will be summarily rejected and liable to be debarred.
  • Candidates have to keep printouts of their ONLINE application. If found eligible, he/she will be called for document verification and the printout of online application will be required to be produced at the time of document verification.

Documents to be Produced at the time of Document Verification:

Candidates are required to produce the following documents:

  • SSC (Standard 10th) or its equivalent Marks Sheet.
  • Certificate for proof of Date of Birth ((Standard 10th or its equivalent Marks Sheet or School Leaving Certificate indicating Date of Birth).
  • Consolidated Marks Sheet of ITI for all semesters of the trade in which applied/ Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks.
  • National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT /SCVT.
  • Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates, wherever applicable.
  • Disability certificate, in case of PWD Candidate.
  • Discharge certificate/Serving certificate, in case of candidates applied against Ex-servicemen quota.

Production of original documents, as stated above, on the day of document verification is mandatory without they will not allowed to appear in the document verification. Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested translation in English/Hindi.
