AAPCEA seeks equal pay under 7th pay commission

ITANAGAR, Dec 16: While expressing happiness over the implementation of 7th pay commission, the All Arunachal Pradesh Contractual Employees’ Association (AAPCEA) however feels that the contractual employees have been left out of it though they have worked same as that of regular employees.

Citing the recent Supreme Court order which sought equal pay for equal work under article 141 of the constitution, it also called for including them under the provision. It wrote to the chief minister in this regard.

Further seeking reconsideration of the cabinet decision for one time relaxation of APST and non-APST in TGT and PGT recruitments, it demanded that the teachers working under SSA and RMSA should be given top priority.

There are surplus trained teachers serving under SSA and RMSA for many years. They must be given chance in the recruitment process, it said.
