DA from January 2017 will be 4% based on All India Consumer Price Index from – Increase in Dearness Allowance for Central Government Emplyees and Pensioners with effect from January 2017 estimated to be 2%
DA from January 2017 will be 4% or 5% based on Consumer Price Index (Industrial Workers) from January 2016 to December 2016 – Net increase in DA with effect from January 2017 is estimated to be 2% or 3%
7th Pay Commission recommended for retaining CPI (IW) with Base 2001=100, the price index which is being used for calculating Dearness Allowance since 1st January 2006
This is an analysis on possible DA rate in percentage with effect from January 2016 for which Central Government Employees and Pensioners are entitled to. Quantum of increase in DA in this half yearly period gains more significance keeping view with Date of effect of 7th Pay Commission Pay and Allowances
Central Government Employees DA with effect from January 2015 is 113%. On the basis of AICPI (IW), DA from July 2015 is now confirmed to be 119%. DA from July 2015 will be announced by Govt in the month of September 2015 or October 2015 normally.
