Presently Retirement Gratuity has limit of Rs. 10 lakh. 7th Pay Commission has recommended for increasing this ceiling on gratuity to Rs. 20 lakh. Further, Retirement Gratuity will have to be increased by 25 percent whenever DA rises by 50 percent.
Death Gratuity – 7th Pay Commission has proposed two slabs in the place of one (5 years or more but less than 20 years). This slab has been divided in to two slabs i.e 5 years or more but less than 11 years and 11 years or more but less than 20 years
7th Pay Commission quoting Supreme Court orders recommends the existing 15 years period for Restoration of Basic Pension to continue. The Commission also does not recommend any change either in the maximum percentage of commutation or in the period of restoration.
Fixed Medical Allowance – 7th pay Commission recommends that the existing amount of Rs.500 p.m for pensioners not covered under Central Government Health Service (CGHS) which was raised from 19.11.2014 to continue.
Enhanced Family Pension – 7th CPC has recommended the existing system as recommended in the 6th CPC to continue. Enhanced family pension for the deceased serving government servant’s family will be paid for 10 years. In the case of retired government servant it is 7 years.
7th CPC has fixed the Minimum Pay at Rs.18000/- as per Indian Labor Conference recommendations considering 3 units of a family of 2 + 2. The amount was arrived by the prices sourced from Labor Bureau, Shimla. 7th CPC claims that this amount is more than twice than that of a private sector employee.
7th pay Commission has recommended that 3 percent of annual and promotional increment are to be retained. However, instead of fixing pay after providing 3% increment, 7th Pay Commission has recommended that pay on annual increment will have to be fixed by providing pay vertically next to the present pay available in the pay Matrix
Existing Defence Personnel who are eligible for X-Pay as per 6th CPC pay scales, have now been grouped in two, out which the group with qualification of Diploma would be entitled for X-pay of Rs. 62000. The remaining X-Group would get Rs. 3600 as X-Pay
This revised 7th pay commission pension ready reckoner will be applicable only for pensioners who are receiving pension in the minimum level for each 6cpc grade pay as provided in 6th pay commission pension concordance table as per OM dated 28.01.2013
Medical Doctors employed in Central Government Service are paid NPA @ 25% presently. 7CPC proposes NPA @ 20%. The Commission also says no for taking NPA for calculating HRA, TA on Transfer etc
7th CPC recommendations on PRIS are that the existing incentive percentage to continue, that it is not in favour of extending PRIS (Individual PRIS) to non-scientific staff and that Commission also does not recommend extension of PRIS to DRDO as they have a separate system of variable increments in place which is similar to PRIS (I).
