Central Government Holidays during the year 2014 – DOPT issues list of holidays to be observed in Central Government Offices throughout India during the year 2014
Department of Personnel and Training has released the list of Central Government Holidays for the year 2014. This list includes the following types of Holidays.
- 14 compulsory Closed Holidays during the year 2014 applicable to all Cental Government Employees throughout India, mentioned in Para 2.
- 3 State Specific Closed Holidays during the year 2014 which has to be chosen out of 12 days specified in Para 3.1 by Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee in the State Capitals
- State specific Restricted holidays during the year 2014 to be chosen by Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee in the State Capitals. While choosing this restricted holiday list the committee should include 9 days left over in the list as per Para 3.1 after choosing 3 days as state specific closed holidays. An employee can avail two out the restricted holidays list prepared by State Committee.
As far as Central Government Offices located in Delhi / New Delhi are concerned, separate lists of Closed Holidays during the year 2014 (Annexure I) and Restricted Holidays during the year 2014 (Annexure II) have been released by DOPT.
