Cabinet may approve DA from January 2015 possibly next week – Central Government Employees are eligible for 6% DA hike with effect from 1st January 2015
As per Agenda items to be taken in the Cabinet Meeing scheduled next week , Proposal for revising DA of Central Government Employees and Pensioners from January 2015 may be taken up.
As we are all aware, Central Government Emplyees and Pensioners are entitled for 113% of DA with effect from January 2015 on the basis of Cosumer price Index for the period from January 2014 to December 2014
Year 2014 witnessed flat Consumer Price Indices from August to December 2014 (253) following reduced inflationary Level.
In the previous years, (except year 2014 in which DA w.e.f January was declared in the month of February itself) Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees were declared either in 3rd or 4th Week of March.
