Ahead of assembly elections slated for 2018, Madhya Pradesh government has announced to implement the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission.
As a New Year bonanza, the Madhya Pradesh government announced a 7 per cent hike in dearness allowance (DA) for its six lakh government employees.
The implication of this judgement will be that all the promotions made under the rules of 2002 are non est (invalid) in the eyes of law and will be reverted and the gradation lists of various departments will have to be redrawn as prior to the enactment of rules of 2002.
However, SC advocate Virag Gupta said such a circular violated conduct rules: “How can a chief minister of a state solicit social media followers from government officials? Also, asking people to follow you is akin to a favour.”
Sanction of 7% dearness relief on the Pension of the Pensioner of the State of Madhya Pradesh.
The State Government of Madya Pradesh has sanctioned seven percent dearness relief to pensioners and family pensioners with retrospective effect from August 1, 2012.
State Government Employees and Pensioners of Madhya Pradesh Government would be entitled for Dearness Allowance of 65% with effect from 1st August 2012.
Accepting recommendations of Agrawal Pay Commission, the State Government has given Independence Day gift to government employees by revising rates of house rent allowance, free residential facility, conveyance allowance, vehicle/transport allowance, Reserved Area allowance and non-professional allowance.
