UIDAI says the advisory has been issued in wake of news appearing on social media reporting some people publicly posting their Aadhaar numbers on social media platforms and posing challenges to others.
UIDAI launched the Aadhaar Virtual ID system to enhance privacy controls over user data. This new system essentially allows users to use their Aadhaar information for verification without putting their data out in the open.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes, or CBDT “extends the time for linking PAN with Aadhaar (while filing the tax-returns) till 31 March 2019”.

This is yet another innovative and useful facility through which people can now obtain their own Aadhaar update history from the UIDAI’s website.
