Recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission and several improvements made thereon by the Government have been largely well received by the armed forces personnel including ex-servicemen.
The Office Memorandum No: 10/02/2011-E.III/A dated 19.03.2012 issued by Finance Ministry allows for grant of one increment in the pre-revised pay scale as on 1.1.2006, for those who were due for their annual increment between February to June during 2006.
As decided in the National Anomaly Committee held on 17.07.2012, a meeting of the Joint Committee on MACPS held on 27.07.2012, under the chairmanship of Jt.Secy (Estt), DOPT, wherein Shri.Umraomal Purohit (Secretary Staff Side NC/ JCM) and Shiva Gopal Mishra (General Secretary AIRF and Member NC/JCM) were present on behalf of All India Railway men’s Federation.
